Job Description:
As a FlexPath Teacher, you will work remotely to support students enrolled in the FlexPath program by providing individualized guidance, feedback, and academic assistance. Your role will focus on helping students understand course content, develop critical thinking skills, and successfully complete their assessments. You will play a key role in motivating and empowering students to take control of their learning experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one academic support to students enrolled in Capella University’s FlexPath program.
• Guide students through FlexPath assessments by helping them understand assignment requirements and rubrics.
• Offer feedback on students’ work, ensuring they meet competency standards and can apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
• Develop personalized study plans and strategies to help students manage their time effectively.
• Respond to students’ questions and concerns in a timely manner, offering clarity on course content and assessment expectations.
• Help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain a positive and supportive online learning environment.
• Collaborate with the academic team to continually improve the support provided to students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Education, Nursing, Business, IT, or a related field (Ph.D. or Ed.D. preferred).
• Familiarity with the Capella University FlexPath model or other self-paced educational programs is a plus.
• Proven experience in teaching, tutoring, or educational mentoring.
• Strong understanding of competency-based education and assessment-driven learning.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and guide students through the learning process.
• Highly organized, with strong time management skills.
• Tech-savvy, comfortable using online learning platforms and tools for virtual education.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with adult learners or non-traditional students.
• Familiarity with online teaching tools and technologies, including LMS (Learning Management Systems).
• Ability to motivate and encourage students in a remote learning environment.
