- Implementation of Company Safety Policy, Rules, Work Procedures, Implementation of Check Lists, Preparation of Inspection Reports, Accident Advisory Reports and Statistics.
- To maintain proper Housekeeping at site, industrial hygiene, First aid and Fire Fighting
- Maintain all Safety Procedures (OHSAS standards), Factories Act 1948 & norms efficiently implement safety measures & effective strategies to reduce risks and hence improve Safety.
- Implementation of measures in respect to Pollution control board on Air /water / hazards and Liasoning to the govt. authorities.
- Monitor compliance with the Fast Track system and report non-confirmation to the Safety Head for corrective action to be taken.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all safety related equipment certification and ensure, that items are inspected, surveyed, calibrated, tested etc. in good time ensuring that certification is maintained current.
- Organize, undertake and participate in safety meetings and safety lectures.
- Implement the system through meeting, training, demonstration, drill etc. Monitor by inspection, site visits, audits, review etc. and measure the performance using nonconformance, near-miss reports etc. and suggest measures for continual improvement.
- Serve as primary contact for all regulatory agencies for inspections, permitting, reporting (air, water, waste).
- Maintain compliance with permits, government regulations and other industry practices.
- Keep abreast of any safety and environmental law or regulation changes that impact the organization.
