Business analyst needs 5-7 years experience (3 years in financial services)
Business Analyst requires:
Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 5-7 years experience (3 years in financial services)
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years financial services experience
Ability to quickly understand complex business issues and processes
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Strong technical acumen
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Adherence to process and methodology requirements
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- Ability to quickly make informed decisions and apply sound business judgment
- Ability to manage new tasks, assignments and solutions through multiple business analysts
Technical Skills
- Strength in SAS or SQL
- Familiar with Macro Statements / Variables / Scheduling capabilities
- BI Visualization (Tableau)
Business Analyst duties:
Collaborate with internal and external customers to develop an analytics portfolio consistent with the vision and goals of our stakeholders
Identify data gaps from downstream and upstream source systems. Work with IT partners to improve data quality and governance with the goal of delivering value added data for analytics
Collaborate with key stakeholders on how to best leverage analytics to inform better business decisions and optimization operations
Partner with business teams to understand their data and reporting requirements
Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with technology solutions
