Job Description
Health and Safety Specialist II needs 2 years experience in health and safety required
Health and Safety Specialist II requires:
Knowledge of OSHA and other applicable federal, state and local safety and health regulations
Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results
Strong follow-up skills; ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs as needed
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast paced environment
Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with both internal and external customers and vendors.
Self-motivated, able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to utilize resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions

Health and Safety Specialist II duties:
Suggest improved work processes to reduce exposure to workplace hazards, analyze accidents and incidents to determine the root cause, and recommend procedural changes to prevent recurrence of accidents, injuries and near misses.
Travel with Tower Technicians and Field Operations Technicians to observe work methods, communicate on safety matters, and identify safety issues, addressing any issues that arise and recommending remedies for those issues as needed.
