Lead Windows Systems Engineer needs 7 years’ IT experience
Lead Windows Systems Engineer requires:
• Hybrid
• Locations: Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, Broomfield, CO or Iselin, NJ office, Jacksonville, FL
• 7 years of relevant IT experience
• Demonstrated experience in a high-tech customer-facing role (i.e. Professional Services, Solution Architecture, Systems Administrator, Engineering or Consulting)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server and related technologies; experience providing senior level operational support and implementation of large-scale, enterprise level solutions
• Previous experience with the design of infrastructure and integration into new and existing Windows Server systems
• Four years of demonstrated experience supporting SCCM in a 2012, or newer
• In-depth and thorough understanding of monitoring best practices preferably with Microsoft System Center Operation Manager (SCOM)
• Experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles and concepts, application infrastructure and standards, networking fundamentals, physical server architecture, and virtualization technologies (i.e. VMware, Hyper-V and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN networks
• Understand WAN/LAN concepts and the TCP/IP protocol stack
Lead Windows Systems Engineer duties:
support IT infrastructure services for all hosted windows operating systems such as Windows 2003 to Windows Server 2019.
• Provide lead level technical support, implementation, and design services for the Windows Server platform across the enterprise, including cloud deployments in Amazon (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
• Develop and enhance Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory engineering standards for a multi-site organization, including the core operating system and authentication services
• Develop technical partnerships with key architecture, project, operations, and support teams
• Automating Windows Server provisioning in a multi-forest and multi-domain environment and configuration for the SCCM infrastructure; configuring deployments in a multi-tiered DMZ network topology, while considering IaaS Cloud solutions such as AWS and Azure
• Provide 3rd level support for an enterprise-wide, distributed Microsoft Windows Server platform, including related technologies such as Certificate Services, IIS, Clustering, etc.
