Position Overview

Primarily responsible for coordinating and performing the creation, maintenance, and review of internal and external engineering documentation and customer BOM’s, drawings, processes, and component data.

Essential Functions

Develop layouts, detail drawings, and assembly documentation using the Corporate CAD system
Works with Document Control for the preparation of new BOM’s and ECN’s
Maintains databases
Maintains systems to meet requirements of ISO.
Generate and implement Change Orders to existing documentation
Assists in the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and equipment using the corporate CAD system
May support teams in document/drawing generation and update using CAD tools and/or word processing programs.
Works with teams to prepare a complete product specification
Works with manufacturing facilities to support the building of products and completion of cost estimates, tooling requirements and assembly requirements
Assists Purchasing with sourcing, specifications, and approvals of components
Provide technical assistance to Manufacturing, Product Management, Marketing, and other team members
Present multiple design concepts to peers and management

Skills

Knowledge of SolidWorks AutoCAD with experience in solid design and drafting is required
Familiar with commonly used drafting terminology and symbols
Knowledge of design and manufacture of products utilizing high volume production parts and assemblies, and manufacturing processes preferred
Must possess ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
