Job Description
Sr Cloud Developer needs 3+ years of experience in combined roles of cloud engineer, infrastructure engineer, DevOps engineering or SRE
Sr Cloud Developer requires:
• 3+ years of experience in combined roles of cloud engineer, infrastructure engineer, DevOps engineering or SRE
• 2+ years’ experience designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based solutions in Google Cloud Platform including engineering wide range of AWS or GCP services
• 1+ Hands on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code development using Terraform & Ansible and Python
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• AWS or Google Cloud Certification is a plus
• Charlotte, NC; Iselin, NJ
• Strong technical knowledge of GCP relating to application development.
• Experience in establishing GCP foundational environments (Landing Zones) including network, security, HA/DR, and operational support for production environments
• Experience in supporting and troubleshooting large-scale applications deployed in AWS and / or GCP
• Ability to write code to automate manual processes
• Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization and influence leadership.
• Proven ability to work with cross functional teams and translate requirements between business, project management and technical projects or programs.
Sr Cloud Developer duties:
• Contribute to the design and deployment of enterprise-wide scalable, highly available, secure, and reliable platforms and architecture on GCP full-stack
• Identifies, drives and leads in the implementation of products to standardize how we deploy applications in AWS/GCP.
• Engineering and delivery of cloud-based services, components, and reusable templates to simplify and expedite cloud migration while upholding compliance with architectural and security regulations.
• Build and operationalize cloud migration factory and collaborate closely with line of business (LOB) teams to migrate applications to the cloud
• Design and enablement of developer experience related self-service capabilities, reusable architectures and services that can be leveraged by agile teams to improve development velocity.
• Contribute to the automation of several day 2 operations, cost optimization measures, enhance cloud security posture, and facilitate the implementation of security guardrails and controls at an earlier stage.
• Develops capabilities in Python, Node.js, Java, etc. to support automating manual processes and repeatable decision making.
• Develops Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, YAML files, build specifications, Python and Lambda functions to have a completely automated build and release process for all AWS and GCP resources infrastructure and code artifacts.
