Job Description
Duties:
Deal with entire scope of business analysis relating to tax matters, primary focus will be handling tax submissions of all client transactional related taxes.
Ensure timely submission of all SARS tax upload files and returns for monthly dividend withholding tax
analyse and execute offshore corporate actions (i.e. deconstruct corporate action events to ensure each component of event is split and mapped correctly for the applicable tax impact) and assist Securities with the tax activities around corporate actions.
Tax certificate projects and processes.
Overall project management of the bi-annual submission of client tax certificates and any other tax related projects.
Work closely with data service providers to ensure that all required tax client investment income and related data is available in required format and level of detail for submission to SARS and client tax certificates.
Submission of client IT3 information to SARS and dissemination of tax certificates to clients.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills required:
Completed relevant tertiary qualification (NDip / BCom+) in Finance, Risk Management, Mathematics, Computer science, Engineering or Information Systems/Informatics, Tax.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Business Analyst or similar role.
Financial Services Experience (Essential).
Industry experience with investment/LISP platforms (Advantageous).
Work experience in securities specific market (Advantageous).
Basic SQL/programming skills (Advantageous).
Agile/SCRUM knowledge and capability.
Proven stakeholder management capability.
Use Case skills (Create and develop).
Able to compile process and data flow diagrams and Context diagrams.
Must have creative skills in providing possible solutions to business requirements.
