Job Description
Bilingual Spanish Paralegal for powerhouse global law firm in Washington, DC. This role is responsible for assisting in preparing for due diligence investigations, document productions, and hearings/trials in English and Spanish. Under supervision, reporting to the Paralegal Manager, candidate will support lawyers and senior paralegals with legal tasks ranging from case inception through case closure.
Duties: Assisting with assembly of exhibits and appendices for court papers and trials. Organizing paper and electronic documents for use in trials. Maintaining, indexing, and organizing case files and workrooms. Indexing and organizing files for off-site storage. Assisting with document collection, review, and production. Preparing for and attending hearings, trials, and arbitrations as directed. Filing and obtaining documents at various courts and agencies. Utilizing legal research software. Conducting research using various resources including databases and the internet.
Position Requirements: Fluency in Spanish and English. Bachelor’s degree, strong academic record. Organizational skills; and ability to prioritize large workload efficiently and effectively. Detail-oriented, with analytic skills. Strong interpersonal and Excellent written communication skills. Flexible for travel with proper documentation to travel outside of the U.S. Flexibility to work overtime as necessary, including nights, weekends, and travel, as necessary.
