Business Analyst, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion for top tier global law firm. This position can be located in Washington, DC, NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Boston.
**This is a hybrid as needed role with mostly remote work but must live within commuting distance to one of the listed offices. This role is an important team member of the analytics and reporting function within the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Department. This role is responsible for responding to requests for diversity metrics, defining request requirements, scopes, and objectives, and providing quality assurance review of final deliverables. **Ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong written communication skills and the ability to translate metrics and analytics into easy to understand language. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and the DEI team.
Duties: Conduct data analysis to extract insights/trends/patterns from multiple data sources. Create visually appealing reports and dashboards to convey complex data in a clear and concise manner, utilizing tools such as Excel, Tableau, and other relevant software. Ensure accuracy and quality of data by conducting thorough validation and data cleaning. Proactively seek opportunities to improve data processes. Produce clearly written responses to client and industry survey requests on DEI policies and initiatives. Prioritize and manage multiple data requests, ensuring deadlines are met. Liaise between the DEI team and other internal stakeholders to define DEI project/request requirements and objectives. Maintain DEI project/request tracking in workflow system to monitor overall progress and achievement of milestones. Analyze project/request progress and adapt timeline to achieve optimal results. Report project risks and outcomes.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree. Certification or coursework in data analytics or data science a plus. Must have at least three years of experience in project management /coordination. Strong proficiency in data analysis leveraging tools like Excel and SQL. Advanced Excel skills required. Proven experience creating presentations using PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Commitment to delivering accurate analysis with the ability to succinctly communicate complex concepts. Cross-cultural skills and awareness. Experience in a professional services and/or law firm. Salary is commensurate with experience
