- Test hardware: Performing hardware tests
- Develop software: Developing the software that's part of the system
- Test systems: Regularly testing systems to eliminate potential issues
- Provide technical assistance: Providing technical assistance to clients and other departments
- Create documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation of projects and procedures
- Ensure firmware is protected: Ensuring that the firmware is as protected and tamper-proof as the hardware platform can provide
