Full Time Software Engineer
Salary: $90,000 plus SUPERANNUATION

About the Role
• Analysing, processing and evaluating the systems requirements. Designing applications after evaluating client needs.
• Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making
• recommendations and designing and implementing systems.
• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
• Knowledge and through understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle which will involve gathering the requirements, analysing requirements, design, development, implementation and enhancement of projects.
• Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards.
• Write well-designed, testable code with the comments.
• Document and maintain software functionality.
• Troubleshoot software issues and debug large codebase.
• Liaising with colleagues to implement technical designs.
• Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes.
• Ensure software is updated with latest features.
• Improve system quality by identifying issues and common patterns and developing standard operating procedures.
• Providing advice, guidance and knowledge in preparing technical documents.
• Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent
• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience as a software engineer
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss with technical and non-technical stakeholders via phone and email
• Problem solving skills/Thinking outside the square to aid the designers and construction teams
• Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and plan multiple deadlines
