Job Description
We have partnered with an Accounting Firm in the La Jolla, CA area to provide them with an Audit Senior.
Prioritized must haves for the Audit Senior:
#1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
#2. Active CPA license or eligibility to sit for CPA exam
#3. At least two (2) years of relevant audit experience
Requirements for the Audit Senior:
Audit Professional Flexible Schedule Required
Role Expectations:
Must be available for a flexible work schedule, typically exceeding 55 hours per week during peak periods.
Holds a degree in Accounting or a related field.
CPA certification is preferred, or the candidate should be eligible to take the CPA exam.
Brings at least two years of hands-on experience in audit-related tasks.
Familiarity with audits involving ERISA and Uniform Guidance is beneficial but not mandatory.
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
Possesses a solid understanding of financial reporting principles (US GAAP) and assurance standards (GAAS).
Capable of navigating evolving industry regulations while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Awareness of internal control processes and risk assessment considerations.
Experience with professional accounting and audit software, such as CCH ProSystem fx (Engagement, Knowledge Coach), CCH Axcess, ProStaff, and Teammate Analytics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Adobe Acrobat.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Comfortable working independently and collaborating in a remote setting.
